NSAI — VEVA Collect Partners with Nashville Songwriters Association International

In addition to offering a discount on VEVA Collect accounts for all NSAI members, VEVA Collect was proud to present “Out of Thin Air” as part of NSAI’s weekly workshop series.

VEVA Collect - NSAI Flyer

Using their most recent remote collaboration as an example, writers Shelly Fairchild, K.S. Rhoads, and Emily West discuss creating Black Moon Rising—specifically the workflow they used to collaborate remotely. These talents will talk through working together in person for the first time since the pandemic began; their creative process for identifying music needed for the Cinematic space, and then creating a tune out of thin air.

From the write to the work tape, to a final mix, Shelly, K.S., and Emily will discuss their process for managing the project to ensure that everyone had access to the files they needed, and received the credit they’re due. From start to finish, Black Moon Rising was managed with all files, credits, and metadata intact, to give this piece its best chance for placement, and to ensure everyone who contributed is paid.

The session will premier on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 5:45pm and is available to all NSAI members here.
